Offcourse we may expect our glorious Highlanders to perform the Dance of Swords to celebrate their victory !
Let the games begin and may the odds be ever in your favor.
2. Challenges
Challenge A : Tug-Of-War
Two teams of three, align themselves at the end of a rope. The rope is marked with a “center line” and two markings 3 meters either side of the center line. The teams start with the rope’s center line directly above a line marked on the ground, and once the “pull” has commenced, attempt to pull the other team such that the marking on the rope closest to their opponent crosses the center line, or the opponents commit a foul (such as a team member sitting or falling down). (Each team must deliver 3 though competitors).
Challenge B : Caber toss
A long log is stood upright and hoisted by the competitor who balances it vertically holding the smaller end in his hands. Then the competitor runs forward attempting to toss it in such a way that it turns end over end with the upper (larger) end striking the ground first. Competitors are judged on how closely their throws approximate the ideal 12 o’clock toss on an imaginary clock. (Each member of the clan will have to toss the log).
Challenge C : Braemar Stone
The thrower must throw the stone with one hand as far as possible. The stone can be resting cradled in the neck until the moment of release. The thrower is not allowed any run up to the toe board to deliver the stone.
